20 Things To Do During The Lock down

Hey!!
I'm glad you're back and today I decided to spice things up. I'm sure by now most of us are bored to death staying indoors and with social distancing and all we're dying to be with our friends and see other people.
Well sadly that can't happen anytime soon and we just have to keep praying that this period will be over soon🥺🥺🥺

I did some research💃🏾
By research I mean asked a bunch of my friends what they've been doing to keep sane and not get too bored

1. Try getting closer to God.
You can decide to maybe take up a Bible study or try out some devotionals. This should be your time to grow your spiritual side better and get closer to our Father.

2. Make a bucket list.
Try making a list of things that you'll want to do after the pandemic. It can be a list of things you never tried but always wanted to do or it can be a list of books to read or shows to watch. Get creative with it.

3. Read novels, articles or try keeping up with the news.
This has got to be my favorite thing to do so far. There are so many great authors out there and if you're a book lover like me I'm sure you've already read more than twenty novels already. Also keep up with what's going on in the world. I'm sure we're all going to tell our children about this😂😂😂

4. Take online courses.
I don't mean attending your online classes for school but try taking new courses that might just interest you. Remember no knowledge is a waste.

5. Learn new cooking recipes.
A friend of mine 'vexed' and went into the kitchen and before she knew it lunch was served. Try learning how to bake or making cocktails, smoothies, and even soup. Cooking has got to be a hobby for some of us.

6. Spend more time with your family.
This period will definitely bring out the best and worst in our family members. You'll get to know your mum and dad better. Your siblings would annoy the hell out of you. In the end, y'all are gonna have some good laughs, tears and lots more.

7. Binge-watch different series.
Honestly I might be tired of this already but I still always run back to it. You don't have to watch a recent series, you can try going back in the days.
You'll definitely enjoy 'Friends', 'Vampire Diaries', and even 'Game of Thrones'🤷🏽‍♀️

8. Have family movie nights, game nights
Movie nights are the best, try renting a blockbuster or just finding something everyone would enjoy watching. Game nights are nights to bring in your  'A-game'.You can try board games like Scrabble, Snakes and Ladders, Monopoly and Chess. If board games aren't for you there are games like truth or dare, or Charades. Try to loosen up a bit and have fun. You can even come up with games of your own.

9. Start exercising
This is not the easiest to start but we've gotta try😂😭😭.

10. Begin a skincare routine
Ouuuuu.....start experimenting to find out what's best for your skin to achieve that amazing glow we're all craving.

11. Try detoxifying.
Get rid of bad energy around you. Start taking care of yourself more. Do things for you. Nobody needs toxic people in their lives

12. Explore YouTube, Tiktok, and Thriller
It's time to get 'Tiktok famous', get more subscribers on your YouTube channel, make thriller videos. Surfing through any of these apps can help you pass by time.

13. Improve your social media presence
Try interacting more with your followers, go live on Instagram and have some fun.

14. Arrange your wardrobe
You can get rid of old clothes.

15. Make new song playlists
Just to kill boredom

16.Learn a new language
There are so many languages out there

17. Think of ways to make and save money
You can stop spending money on data 😂😂 and begin to think of somewhere to save or invest it.

18. Do things you've been putting off
I'm sure there are things you've procrastinated on doing.

19. Rest
Try and get rid of those bags and circles under your eyes.

20. Do Nothing
This might sound tiring but many people are already doing this. It's okay if you can't think of anything creative to do or try to look for a positive side in this pandemic. Sometimes doing nothing is doing everything already. You might as well just Sleep, Wake, Pray and the cycle continues.

I hope you find something to do from here because we all need something to cheer us up.

5 Signs That You're Afraid Of Getting Rejected ( based on personal relationships )

Hey guys, I'm glad you're back here.        I'm really excited about this particular piece because in many ways it's really personal. It took me quite a while to get it done to this point and I had some help from so many people. I know most people clicked the link because we're all curious cats. We want to know if we're exhibiting any of these signs. Others want to prove to themselves that they are not. Who knows you just might be. Try and read this piece with an open mind.            Rejection isn't a word anyone likes to hear, neither are the phrases "You just weren't good enough", " We're sorry but you didn't make the cut", "It's not you, it's me", " Sorry we're not hiring" These are all different ways to tell that you've been rejected. To be honest, rejection isn't a bad thing. When you get rejected, yes it means you've failed but it doesn't mean you'...

Home Is Not A Place, It's A Feeling

We all believe our homes to be,  Our safe space, Our nest, Our Haven, Our paradise, but people differ and may not always think like this. Why do you need a home? We all have our DEMONS, like it or not they're there. The sooner you realize they're haunting you the better.  Our demons are the trials and tribulations we go through every day. When we battle our demons we all need somewhere to retreat to, whether or not the battle has been won or lost. These demons can't get to us when we're home. As long as we stay home, there's no way in for them. When you're not battling demons You're conquering COMPANIONSHIP I don't just mean being married, but also the companionship of your brothers and sisters, your friends, your closest friends and let's not forget the BFF'S  There's this feeling we get when we're surrounded by those we love the most When we realize this is our home  We see that Home is not just a place, it...

Why We Compare Ourselves To Others and How To Stop

For as long as I can remember I have battled with comparison and I still continue to battle with it. I have compared myself to others in so many aspects of my life such as my academics, what clothes I have, the type of phone I'm using, how big the house I live in is, the kind of jewelry I wear and so many other aspects of life. I've always had this idea that mine had to be better than the guy or girl next door.  Comparing yourself to others doesn't make you a bad person neither does it mean it's a good thing to do. It's perfectly normal and it's part of life's challenges. Although comparison makes some of us feel better with ourselves, we forget that it's also short-lived and afterward we get this feeling of inadequacy, worthlessness, and overall unhappiness. So now I'm going to ask the million-dollar question.  Why do we constantly compare ourselves to others? 1. The belief that success looks a certain kind of way. We think that for you ...
